Summary

Once referred to as "the most powerful tribe of Indians on the continent" by renowned Native American painter George Catlin, the Blackfeet were nearly wiped out by smallpox in the mid-1800s. The Blackfeet currently reside on a 1.5-million acre reservation in Northwest Montana that borders Glacier National Park. The Blackfeet presents an accurate portrayal of the history and culture of these North American Indian peoples.
