Summary
Gary Dwayne Payton (also known as "the Glove") is a former professional basketball point guard. Best known for his 13-year tenure with the Seattle SuperSonics, he has also played with the Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, and the team who helped him win an NBA Championship, the Miami Heat. Considered the "NBA's reigning high scorer among point guards," Payton managed to get in trouble while on the court for his trash-talking and earned a reputation as being difficult, volatile, and somewhat egotistical. He served as a studio analyst for NBA TV and as a substitute analyst on The NBA on TNT.
Complete with exciting accounts of on-the-court action and behind-the-scenes drama, this eBook examines Payton's origins on the mean streets of East Oakland, his thrilling college and professional careers, and his growth as a person and a player.
