About the Author(s)

Amy M. Donley received her Ph.D. at the University of Central Florida, where she teaches sociological research methods and data analysis. She is also the associate director of the University of Central Florida's Institute of Social and Behavioral Sciences, a research institute that conducts quantitative and qualitative research for community organizations.  She is the author of Poor and Homeless in the Sunshine State: Down and Out in Theme Park Nation.

Series Editor Liz Grauerholz received her Ph.D. from Indiana University and is a professor of sociology at the University of Central Florida. Her publications include Sociology of Families, Second Edition and she is currently the editor of the journal Teaching Sociology.
