Shelly Field is the owner of The Shelly Field Organization, a public relations and management firm specializing in celebrity clients in the music, sports, and entertainment industries. She is a career consultant to educational institutions, employment agencies, corporations, libraries, women's groups, and individuals, and frequently lectures on empowerment and various career-oriented subjects. Field is also the author of Career Opportunities in Theater and the Performing Arts, Third Edition; Career Opportunities in the Music Industry, Fifth Edition; and numerous other career-counseling guides for Ferguson Publishing. She resides in New York.
Foreword author Lori Kemper, D.O., F.A.C.O.F.P., is dean of the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine located on the Glendale campus of Midwestern University. She was in osteopathic family practice in the Phoenix area for 25 years. She was also director of medical education, chief of staff, and family practice residency program director at Tempe St. Luke's Hospital in Tempe, Arizona. Kemper is the president-elect of the Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association and received its Physician of the Year award in 2006. She lives in Tempe, Arizona.
