Carol Turkington is a medical writer with a degree in journalism and 25 years of professional experience, including three years as medical writer/editor at Duke University Medical Center/Comprehensive Cancer Center. She is also a former educational consultant to the national office of the American Red Cross. Joseph R. Harris, Ph.D., has extensive post-doctoral training in pediatric neuropsychology and learning disabilities, and has worked as a school district psychologist, special education director, psychological researcher, child and adolescent psychotherapist, crisis intervention specialist and behavior management consultant for more than 30 years. He is also currently an adjunct professor at Converse College and owns Foothills Behavioral Consulting in Spartanburg, SC, where he serves as primary child, adolescent and school psychologist/neuropsychologist. He lives in South Carolina.
