About the Author(s)

Gloria L. Cronin is professor of English at Brigham Young University. She is co-editor of the Saul Bellow Journal and the author of A Room of His Own: In Search of the Feminine in the Novels of Saul Bellow.

Alan L. Berger is the Raddock Family Eminent Scholar Chair of Holocaust Studies and directs the Center for the Study of Values and Violence after Auschwitz at Florida Atlantic University, where he is also a professor of Judaic studies. Among his books are Crisis and Covenant: The Holocaust in American Jewish Fiction, Judaism in the Modern World, and Children of Job: American Second-Generation Witnesses to the Holocaust.
