Jennifer Bobrow Burns has more than 10 years of experience as a writer and career counselor. She holds a B.A. in English from Cornell University and an M.A. in Counseling and Guidance from New York University. She has worked with private clients as well as at the Columbia University Center for Career Education in New York City in positions including Resource Coordinator, Career Counselor, and Associate Director of Career Development. Bobrow Burns has published numerous articles related to career issues such as job search techniques, career field profiles, and graduate school advice. At Columbia, she was the lead writer/editor for the annual Career Planner, a 50-page job search manual. Currently, she teaches a career development course at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT, and works as a distance career counselor for Readyminds.com. She lives in Connecticut.
