Timothy Maga is a former legislative director with the U.S. House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee. He currently holds the Oglesby Chair of American Heritage at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. Maga is the author of dozens of books and articles, including John F. Kennedy and the New Pacific Community; John F. Kennedy and the New Frontier Diplomacy; and The Complete Idiot’s Guide to the Vietnam War. He holds a Ph.D. in modern political history from McGill University and an M.A. and a B.A. in history from the Universtiy of Wisconsin.
