Stephen Bertman, a professor of classics at the University of Windsor in Windsor, Canada, holds a Ph.D. in Greek and Latin from Columbia University. His books include Doorways Through Time: The Romance of Archaeology, and he has numerous articles and lectures on Near Eastern culture to his credit.
