World News Digest and Today's Science Named SIIA CODiE Award Finalists

New York, NY, December 17, 2013—Infobase Learning is pleased to announce that two of its online products were named finalists for the 2014 SIIA CODiE Awards: World News Digest for Best General Reference Service, and Today's Science for Best Science and Technology Information Solution. Finalists represent the information industry's best products, technologies, and services created by or for media, publishers, and information services providers.

The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), the principal trade association for the software and digital content industries, announced these two Infobase Learning databases as two of 91 CODiE Award content finalists across 26 categories.

Featuring dynamic, topic-based research support, the recently redesigned World News Digest presents more than seven decades of authoritative news summaries and background articles alongside current news, providing information, context, and perspective.

Today's Science, which was recently selected as one of Booklist's Editors' Choice Reference Sources, also boasts a fresh redesign and new features. Known for delivering up-to-date science news, it includes a wealth of content that illuminates the world of scientific discovery.

The SIIA CODiE Awards are the industry's only peer-reviewed awards program. The first round review of all nominees is conducted by media, publishing, and information services executives with considerable industry expertise, including members of the industry, analysts, media and bloggers, and bankers and investors. The judges are responsible for selecting the CODiE Awards finalists. SIIA members then vote on the finalist products and the scores from both rounds are tabulated to select the winners.
